Huawei Mobile quietly decided to release a new phone of its own. The Huawei P8 Lite (2017) is the successor to the device with the same name that was released back in 2015.

P8 Lite

The new P8 Lite (2017) packs a 5.2" IPS display of 1080p resolution and comes wrapped into a nicely looking glossy shell. The design is unlike anything in the P8 and Huawei P9 series, but very similar to a few Honor handsets of late.

Huawei has refreshed the P8 Lite with a 2017 model that features upgraded hardware in the form of a Kirin 655 SoC, the OS is Android Nougat 7.0. The phone also comes with 3GB of RAM and a rather disappointing 16GB internal memory, but there is a microSD card slot.

It is backed by a 3000 mAh non-removable battery. The P8 Lite (2017) supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, NFC, and Micro USB 2.0 port. The device can be bought in single SIM as well as dual SIM variants. It will be available in Black, White and Gold colour options.

Huawei is expected to launch a few new phones over the next few months, including a new version of the Huawei P9 Lite, which will likely be sold in South America, and the new flagship Huawei P10 Lite, which is expected to launch sometime in the next few weeks as part of the Huawei P10 series.
