A couple of weeks ago, a device from Huawei Honor gained the TENAA nod of approval in China. Known as the honor 6X, the certification gave us a glimpse of the handset sans the specs, but we're expecting a reasonable bump on the Huawei honor 5X's mid-range hardware. Now, we also have a supposed launch date to add to the mix.

Huawei honor 6X

The Honor 6X is rumored to run on the Snapdragon 625 chipset with 2 or 3 GB of RAM, and pack 32GB expandable storage. Its highlight should be the dual-camera setup on the back, something probably similar to the Honor 8's. And there is Huawei's comfy fingerprint scanner below the cool camera duo.

So, when can we expect this slick, metallic-looking device to manifest itself? The Asian media suggests that the handsets will be launched on 18th October. This date is not confirmed, so we'll keep an eye out for any further info in this regard. It's also unclear as to whether this date -- a Tuesday -- will see the honor 6X actually released to the public, or merely unveiled.
