Earlier this year Huawei's Honor brand gave us a prime example of this trend, with the introduction of the 5.7-inch Huawei Honor V8 and its dual 12MP shooters. That's well and good, but such phablet-sized handsets aren't necessarily for everyone. Luckily for those shoppers, now we're hearing about another Honor model that appears to be in the pipeline, as a leak outs a possible Honor 8.

Huawei Honor 8

While the Honor 8 is rumored to keep that same dual-12MP-rear-camera arrangement as its Honor V8 big brother, the Honor 8 would dial its screen size back to just 5.2 inches – the same size as last year's Honor 7.

It will reportedly come with a Kirin 950 or Kirin 955 chipset, 4GB of RAM, a 12 MP dual camera setup on the rear, and a USB Type-C port. Wireless charging will be supported, and the phone will have an IR blaster and a battery capacity north of 3,000 mAh.

Huawei Honor 8 phone's back will be covered by 2.5D curved glass, so we assume it will have a metal frame. All of this should allegedly make this the most beautiful Honor smartphone ever created, according to the people who are the sources for all these rumors. Obviously that will be for you to judge when it finally becomes official. Given that the Honor 7 was announced in June 2015, we assume the Honor 8 could see the light of day next month.
