Following the release of the Huawei Honor V8 in May 2016, the Chinese-based smartphone maker now seems to be preparing for the launch of the Huawei Honor 8. This smartphones have been recently spotted online in China, and they seem to be heading for a market release as the successors to the Huawei Honor 7 announced in mid-2015.

The fact that both the Huawei Honor 8 appeared in the database of the Chinese equivalent to the FCC signals that their launch is not too far ahead. It appears to feature a 5.5 inch screen with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. In terms of processing solution, the Honor 8 comes with an unnamed octa-core processor at 2.0 GHz paired with 3 GB of RAM and 64 GB of on-board storage. In terms of camera modules, the Honor 8 comes with a 20 MP primary camera and a 8 MP secondary shooter. It has LTE support, VoLTE support, and it’s kept alive by a 4,000 mAh battery. The phone is 150 mm tall, 75 mm wide, 7.5 mm thin, and has a weight of 160 grams, while running Android 6.0 out of the box.

According to the rumors that surfaced online over the past few weeks both the Huawei Honor 8 will go on sale in black, white, and gold liveries. What we know for sure is that since they have been certified by they should be officially launched in the next few weeks.
