Being the third largest smartphone manufacturer around the world right now, no doubt Huawei Mobile has a slew of device that they will be selling this year. Having shifted a whopping 109 million smartphones last year, they surpassed the 100 million smartphones sold mark in October this year, which means they might smash the 2015 record before this year comes to a close. Of course, with Huawei also diversifying their product portfolio this year, it would be imperative that they make sure their hardware offerings are backed up by the latest software as well.
Huawei – has announced that it will start rolling out Android Nougat early next year. In the first quarter of 2017, Huawei is likely to roll out the Nougat update with its new EMUI 5.0. The new EMUI 5.0, Huawei claims, is more efficient, secure and user-friendly. The update is likely to be rolled out beginning with Huawei Mate 8 and Huawei P9, which will be followed by update being rolled out to Huawei P9 Plus, P9 Lite, Nova and Nova Plus. With the Huawei Mate 9 being their latest flagship phablet, it ships with Android 7.0 Nougat right out of the box to help you get started with the latest Android features and functions without having to wait for an update.
Of course, we would also not rule out the possibility of Huawei mobile actually expanding the Android 7.0 Nougat update list with even older handsets, but whatever it is, if you happen to own any of the devices mentioned above, then they are guaranteed to have the Android 7.0 Nougat update in due time, although no exact release date has been detailed just yet.
