Last week, Huawei Mate 9 leaked out, revealing a pair of rear cameras along with claims of an iris scanner in front. Now a new set of renders may have spilled even more information on the upcoming flagship phone.

Huawei Mate 9

Renders leaked via Weibo user changezone may finally offer a legitimate look at what Huawei has in the pipeline. While smartphones are known to arrive in different shades to suit consumer tastes -- Huawei's handsets very much included -- it's relatively unheard that a company should roll out so many different options. This leak depicts eight different colors, but some appear quite similar to others. Whether Huawei plans to lay on such a broad choice remains to be seen, but we certainly won't complain if the Mate 9 is offered in so many hues.

The design doesn't look too shabby, either. As you can see below, the touted Mate 9 includes a large display with an high screen-to-body ratio. The phablet, which is expected to pack a mammoth 5.9-inch QHD display, is likely to be an all-metal affair. If you look very closely between the two rear shooters, you may be able to spot the LEICA branding, and it'll be interesting to see the progress of the point-and-shoot experience since the Huawei P9 and Huawei P9 Plus.

The Mate 9 will supposedly come with a 6-inch 1080p touchscreen, dual 20 MP cameras on the back (with Leica branding and OIS), an 8 MP selfie snapper, the company's in-house Kirin 960 chipset, 4 or 6GB of RAM, 64, 128, or 256GB of storage, and probably a very beefy battery.
