We suspected the Huawei Mate 9 would show up at IFA, but the upcoming flagship is still to make the transition to official status. A new leak confirms that there will be three tears of Mate 9, each with different memory and color options.

However a new leak on Chinese site Weibo shows the Mate 9 will in fact have Leica branding, on a new set of rendered images. Lecia’s logo can be seen in between the two lenses and they claim to have an aperture of f/2.0, which improves upon the Huawei P9 f/2.2.

It seems like three different Huawei Mate 9 variants will be available, the 4GB RAM model will come in both 64GB and 128GB storage flavors, while the 6GB RAM variant will ship with 256GB of internal storage, and that will be the highest-end model. The most expensive variant of the device will ship in Black, White, Gold, Brown, Gray and Pink color variants (these will be all the available color options), while the 4GB RAM + 128GB storage model will be available in every color variant except in Black. Now, the most affordable variant of the Huawei Mate 9, the one with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, will be available in White, Gold and Gray color variants, if the leaked image is to be believed.

It looks like the cheapest version of the Mate 9 will start at 3,200 yuan (roughly $480), though you can also upgrade to dual-SIM for 3,400 yuan ($509). It packs 4GB of RAM with 64GB of storage and comes in white, gold or graphite gray. For  3,700 yuan ($555), you can upgrade the device to 128GB of storage, which also unlocks two more color options in rose gold and brown.

A November unveiling seems to be in the works for the Huawei Mate 9, so keep on checking in for the most recent rumors and leaks pertaining to the latest entry in this high-end series.
