According to the Chinese handset maker, the phone should go on sale in select markets in December, but despite Huawei's official statement, the Huawei Mate 9 can hardly be purchased in a couple of countries.

Huawei has started rolling out a new update to its Mate 9 smartphone. Arriving as build version MHA-AL00C00B153 and weighing in at 278MB, the update brings along the Android security fixes for December.

Well, the latest Mate 9 update enhances some of the features that were brought by the previous one, such as the fact that the smartphone's camera now supports 10x zoom. Aside from that, the update contains the latest December security patch, The Huawei Mall reports.

As is usually the case with OTA roll outs, Huawei Mate 9 Pro may take some time for the update to hit your device. Those of you who don't want to wait to be notified about the update can manually check for it by heading to Settings / About phone / System updates. You'll be looking for firmware build MHA-AL00C00B153.
