Huawei had a pretty big year in 2016. The company's Honor brand had a runaway success with both the Honor 5X and Huawei Honor 8, and Huawei's own Huawei Mate 9 that recently released has been receiving positive feedback from critics and consumers alike. Huawei has big plans to make its biggest push yet into the US market come 2017, but until then, the company is working on updating all of their current handsets to the latest and greatest version of Android.

Other than needing to have signed up for the beta, users will only be selected by Huawei if they’re using a specific variant of the Nova, which is the version with the model number B153. Users with a different model number will not be chosen to participate and test out the software, at least not for now, but there is always a possibility that Huawei could change things and send updates to other Nova device variants for testing as well. This would also be in addition to the two other devices that are part of the beta update program which Huawei has already sent this software out to, which includes the Huawei P9 and the Huawei P9 Plus.

If you own the Huawei Mobile, chances are that this smartphone will be updated to Android Nougat as well, even if it's not yet part of beta program. Also, other Huawei handsets will receive Nougat updates next year, so stay tuned for more info on the matter.
