Huawei has launched its new Huawei P8 Lite 2017. Although the name of the smartphone suggests that it is a successor to the Huawei P8 Lite, the device bears no comparison whatsoever with the successful P8 Lite from 2015.The Huawei P8 Lite 2017 is a completely stand-alone model, for both design and hardware. The design of the device is more like the Huawei Honor 8. The new device has a full HD display of 5.7 inches driven by a Kirin 655 octa-core processor .

The P8 Lite (2017) is powered by the company's latest mid-range Kirin 655 chip with an octa-core A53 processor and Mali-T830MP2 GPU. There are also 3GB of RAM on board, and 16GB expandable storage.

The smartphone includes a 12-megapixel camera on the back and an 8-megapixel one on the front. The unit is equipped with a 3,000 mAh battery and runs on Android 7.0 Nougat.

Meanwhile we heard that Huawei P8 Lite (2017) might launch in Latin America as Huawei P9 Lite (2017). And if all the guff wasn't enough, Huawei is expected to launch a Huawei P10 Lite in the next couple of weeks as part of the new Huawei P10 series. Someone obviously didn't think this through.
