In the last couple of weeks, we've been hit with a controlled wave of leaked information about Huawei P9, so it's no surprise that the smartphone will come with two rear-facing cameras since this particular detail had been revealed a long time ago.

Huawei P9

Huawei has recently sent out invitations for their April 9th event in London, and even though the teaser did not mention the name of the device that is going to be announced, the company did throw a dual camera hint in that image. The only Huawei-branded dual camera smartphone that has been leaking recently is the Huawei P9, and the timing fits perfectly. The Huawei P8 line was introduced in April last year (Huawei P9, P9 Lite and P9 Max), and it seems like their successors will follow exactly one year after that. We've seen quite a few rumors and leaks when it comes to the Huawei P9, including some real life images which popped up recently. Well, a new set of images has just surfaced, and only confirmed the design of this handset.

After the partnership between Huawei and Leica was announced last month, it was clear that some upcoming handsets would include high-quality lenses made by the German company.

The Huawei P9 could be the first device launched by the Chinese handset maker that will come with Leica lenses. Speaking of launch, the P9 is now rumored to arrive on April 6, but we're still waiting for the official confirmation.

As for the rest of the specs on the Huawei P9, the rumors are abundant but also somewhat confusing. There might be as many as four variants of the handset, but we have come to expect something along the lines of a 5.2-inch display, the company's latest Kirin 950 SoC and 4GB of RAM, perhaps even a whopping 6GB in the top-tier model.
