The Huawei P9 was released back in April but it appears that the company has had a huge success with the phone as nine million units have been sold. It's been almost seven months since the phone was released but Huawei continues to sell the phone as if it had been released a month ago. Huawei, the world's third largest smartphone maker, had sold six million Huawei P9 phones in September, so the company has sold another three million in two months.

Up to this point, Huawei has sold more than 9 million P9 units, from its launch in April. What's more, this means the company was able to move around 3 million units in the past two months alone, which is certainly impressive given that the P9 has been available for quite a while now.

The spec sheet of the Huawei P9 is rather impressive, we're looking at a 5.2-inch 1080p display, powered by their own Kirin 955 processor, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. Not to mention the dual 12-megapixel cameras on the backside and a 3000mAh battery powering the device. The specs are pretty similar to the Huawei Honor 8 (but the Honor 8 has a slightly less powerful processor in the Kirin 950 and more RAM at 4GB), which has done well for them here in the States.

At the rate things are going, we expect breaking the 10 million sales mark by the end of the year is entirely within reach of the Huawei P9, although the recently unveiled Huawei Mate 9 might steal the spotlight somewhat, especially for people who don't mind bigger phones.
