The Huawei P9 first grabbed our attention last October when a label from the phone leaked, indicating that the device would feature dual cameras on the back. Since then, leaked images have confirmed that there will indeed be two rear-facing snappers on the phone. Huawei has also teased this attribute of the P9 by disseminating some cute teasers. We expect the P9 and variants to be introduced at a media event planned for April 6th.

Today, some new images of the phone have leaked out, showing off the dual 12MP camera set up, and a fingerprint scanner on the back of the device. The Huawei P9 should come with a 5.2-inch display carrying a 1080 x 1920 resolution. Huawei's home-grown Kirin 950 chipset is expected to be under the hood, with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of native storage. The 12MP cameras on back will feature laser focus and OIS.

The Huawei P9 Lite will offer a 5-inch display with a 1080 x 1920 resolution. The Snapdragon 650 chipset is believed to drive the phone, which will come with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of ROM. The rear cameras are said to weigh in at 12MP, and will also feature laser focus and OIS. The Huawei P9 Max will be equipped with a 6.2-inch display carrying a 1440 x 2560 QHD resolution. The Kirin 955 chipset will power the device, which should come with 4GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB ROM. The same 12MP dual camera setup is expected on the back of the unit.

There also has been talk about a version of the P9 that is somewhere in between the regular version and the Huawei P9 Max. This phone is rumored to include a 5.8-inch screen and the Kirin 955 SoC.
