There has been a lot of buzz recently around Huawei P9 new flagship phone, even the company president was spotted with the new phone in hand, and now we're all looking forward to the April 6th launch event in London to find out what Huawei has in store for us. It looks like the company might unveil not one but two new handsets and one of them, the Huawei P9 "Lite," has now been leaked online.

Huawei P9 Lite

Unlike last year's P8 Lite, whose specs trailed the regular Huawei P8 in nearly every category, this year's "Lite" model attempts to achieve budget friendliness with strategic changes and omissions. First of all, it's supposedly not any smaller than the 5.2-inch P9, and even more surprisingly, retains its full HD, 1080p resolution as well. Moreover, it is said to feature the same amount of RAM: 3GB, the price is 319USD.

Huawei P9 Lite has a partial metal body and a single rear camera as opposed to the dual rear cameras expected on the Huawei P9 flagship which is also expected to have a full metal body.

Those are all of the details about the Huawei P9 Lite that are available currently. It looks like Huawei wants to make this handset a budget friendly version of its new flagship and for that reason, it has made some omissions in the processing and the camera department as well as choosing to not go full metal for the body.

We've now seen full or partial details of three handsets tipped to launch on the 6th: the P9, P9 Premium, and P9 Lite. Still up in the air: the alleged Huawei P9 Max, a phablet-class device that will likely incorporate many of the highest-end features detailed on these other models.
