Huawei's upcoming Huawei P9 flagship smartphone will have as many as four variants, according to a new report. Aside from the standard P9, the other three variants will be the more budget-friendly P9lite, a P9max (which has already been spotted on AnTuTu), and an unnamed higher-specced P9.

Huawei P9

GizOK claims we'll see a regular Huawei P9, a more affordable Huawei P9 Lite, a Huawei P9 Max and a more feature-rich version of the P9 which will apparently have more RAM, more storage and a dual camera sensor, use Huawei P8 naming method. This dual camera will work in a similar way to the camera tech found on the back of the Honor 6 Plus which uses the secondary camera to offer post-capture refocussing, manual/virtual aperture control and live filters. It's expected that Huawei will use these features, plus add more unique abilities in the 'P9 Premium/Plus'.

Some of the rumoured details about the fourth variant include large screen, more RAM, and storage value, even more than the Huawei Mate 8. The highlight feature of the fourth Huawei P9 variant is said to be the camera. It is rumoured to sport a dual lens with dual sensor configuration featuring 12-megapixel sensor. The camera on the fourth model is expected to feature additional camera tricks such as post-capture refocus, simulated aperture adjustment, and other filter options.

Unfortunately, we probably won't be seeing any of these huawei smartphones just yet. Apparently, Huawei isn't planning to unveil any of them at the MWC next month, instead the range will see a dedicated unveiling some weeks after the event.
