There is even more great news from the famous Chinese telco company following the unveiling of their newest flagship model, Huawei P10, and Huawei P10 plus at the MWC 2017. As Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd continues to provide timely updates on their smartphones, Huawei's P9 and P9 plus will finally have an over-the-air or OTA update providing the latest Android Nougat 7.0.

Huawei P9

The Android 7.0 Nougat update was formally circulated to the smartphone in December 2016. Unfortunately, only China-based people got the said enhancement for Huawei P9.

The smartphone features a sleek metallic design, a 5.2-inch full HD display (1080p), a Kirin 950 processor, Mali T880 MP4 graphics, two 12-megapixel rear cameras, an 8-megapixel front shooter, a rear-mounted biometric fingerprint reader, and two configurations for RAM and internal storage. Both versions support expandable storage, and a non-removable 3,000 mAh battery keeps it all up and running. In case you feel that the update is in a mess now and you don't wish to beta test it anymore, Honor does give you the option of reverting to Android 6.0 Marshmallow with the EMUI 4.1 skin.

The Huawei P9 and Huawei P9 Plus were considered as the most famous smartphones of the company. Therefore, getting an Android Nougat update is favorable in gaining more sales.
