Thus far, it has become clear through numerous leaks and reports, that OnePlus will be launching another handset this year. Allegedly, it will be called the OnePlus X and it will offer a more compact form factor, but a more premium build. Rumors also suggest that its specs will not be on the side of bleeding edge of tech.

OnePlus X smartphone

Well, a new set of advertorial slides has leaked, reaffirming previous whispers, and shedding some more light on what the OnePlus X might end up being. The posters are in Chinese, so we suppose that the smartphone may first launch in Asia, before being ready for international shipping. That is, of course, if OnePlus doesn't pull the good old invite system again.

The poster is of a launch event and it shows the design and price of the device as 1699 Yuan, which is approximately $267.

Reports say that the new model comes with a 5-inch OLED display and will have 1080p resolution. It will have 1.9 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 SoC processor, 3 GB RAM, 16/32 GB storage and a 2450 mAh battery.

OnePlus X will run on Android Oxygen OS, sport a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera. Its storage can be expanded up to 128 GB using a micro SD card.

With a mid-range pricing, the OnePlus X is unlikely to compete with high-end devices like the Huawei Mate S or Samsung Galaxy S6 like the earlier released OnePlus 2 does.

Other than launching the anticipated device, OnePlus is also expected to make some key announcements, including the ones around ‘Make in India’ initiative at the event.
