It appears that Xiaomi is prepping for the launch of the Xiaomi Mi 5X successor. Recently leaked images that have emerged on Weibo show hands-on images of the Xiaomi Mi 6X. The images reveal the design of the smartphone in its full glory. The Mi 6X appears to have a dual rear-facing camera with the camera sensors placed in a vertical fashion. It also has a rear-mounted fingerprint reader, and an iPhone X like design.

According to the image, the Xiaomi Mi 6X will sport an 18:9 display, albeit with visible bezels. Not quite as prominent as those seen on the Mi 5X but still larger than those on the Redmi 5 Plus. The device is expected to feature a 3.5mm headphone jack, an IR blaster, and a Type-C USB port, much like its predecessor. It could also be launched as the Mi A2 outside China.

Xiaomi is expected to unveil the Surge S2 chipset for smartphones at the upcoming MWC 2018 exhibition. The firm has already been listed on the official MWC website, which means that we could get to see the announcement of Surge S2 as well as the Xiaomi Mi7 smartphone. Moving back to the Mi 6X, not many details about the handset have been revealed yet, but it’s obvious that the smartphone will debut as the Mi A2 in international markets. Apart from the Mi 7 and the Mi 6X, Xiaomi is also working on two more smartphones, the Mi Max 3 and much awaited Redmi Note 5.

The Redmi Note 5 is being expected to debut in India next month, and it could just be a rebranded version of Redmi 5 Plus, which was recently launched in the Chinese smartphone market. However, some reports claim that it will be a completely new handset, and that it has already received the 3C certification in China.
